I Give My First Love to You 2, The Breaker 10 of 10, Sentimental Color 2 of 2 (m&c! manga and manhwa out nau~) [UPDATED]

Street date: 11 August 2012, the last manga release sked before the Idul Fitri break. Regular deliveries reboot 31 August, if not, 5 September 2012.
Update: Moving Samurai Darling Masamune—deets, NikBabble™, teh whole shebang—to 31 August 2012, per m&c! advisory. (I warned you there was a possibility of that premiere's delay. On the off-chance you nabbed a copy already, then good for you, but m&c! and at least two other online book shops have pegged Samurai Darling Masamune's release as 31 August.)

Published in Indonesia as I Give My First Love to You by Gramedia/m&c!

Having someone you like is an incredible feel. Your days are filled by thoughts of her, just her. But if she's with me... only tears await Mayu. That's why, on the day we graduate from grade school, I have to gaze my fill of Mayu. Because that could well be the last time I see her.

*Wail!* Takuma's still fighting fate (and a bad heart) in the second I Give My First Love to You tank, which compiles Keep that hanky handy! 6th through 10th fortunes: First Love Storm, Rendezvous, Punishment, Height Comparison and Dream. A bonus Data File closes the volume (and a Yori × Iku cameo ambushes inside :D).

Finales
We bid buh-bye to three manhwa and one manhua series — The Breaker (with volume 10), Sentimental Color (volume 2), Wicked: Dance with Us (volume 3) and Ice Fantasy (also volume 3). The first two get Before the Jump blog estate for previews because they're the first runner-up DO WANT! (Look for the rest after the cut.)

Published in Indonesia as My Sweet Kaicho by Gramedia/m&c!

Ceddy-san! (Oops, I meant, Gerald-sama! :p)

Usui's older brother arrives from England and Misaki can't believe how much he resembles Usui. What does he, the brother, want?

For one, Gerald sends henchman Ceddy to spy on Usui and Misaki. Two, he's not above threatening to ‘harm’ Misaki if that's what it takes to tear her away from Usui. Point No. 2, of course, gives our hentai uchuu-jin© Takumi-sama a reason to go Alpha mode, ON! on Big Bro. xD

My Sweet Kaicho 12 spans episodes 51 to 55 and as a bonus, at the end of the volume, you can discover the hidden side of...Ikkun.

궁 28 (KR cover)

Don't miss the end of Goong [Palace Story]. Volume 27 out nau~.

(Lemme reiterate that I'm still wondering why there's a 궁 28Goong 28—[below]. Anyone? Explanation and/or translation of the Korean description welcome. *directs you to the comments section*)

Aside from Goong, Runway Sweetheart also ends—with volume 3—but for some reason, its preview is exactly the same as volume 2's. For simplicity, I suggest consulting my penultimate snap synops and applying extended reasoning at will for the finale. :D

Now let's move to the newbies.

New m&c! titles
Sixty percent of the titles m&c! listed are premieres. Magical Witch Punie-chan's adventures continue in Ohwada Hideki's Panzer Princess Punie ~Super² Great Magical Gap~, essentially the third volume of Dai Mahou Touge first serialized in Kadokawa's Shounen Ace. That's all the NikBabble™ you're going to get because, as with Runway Sweetheart, it shares the thematic descript with preceding Super Great Magical Gap.

On the shoujo front — Shiiba Nana's Love Share (ex-Betsucomi), the first Kumagai Kyoko manga m&c! has licensed (if I'm not mistaken), Scarlet Fan ~The Tale of Eternal Love~ 1 (originally Ayakashi Hisen, ongoing serialization in Sho-Comi) and the "Nightmares That Fuel Nursery Rhymes" antho Story from the Darkness by Imai Yasue (Hontou wa Kowai Nippon no Douyou ex-Ciao). Two-thirds of the manhwa streeting are also new: 100% Perfect Girl 1 by Wann and A Kiss for Money 1 by Hwang MiRee, first published by Samyang as 5 Cheon Won Man Jumyeon Kisseuhae Juneon Nom.

Since Kumagai Kyoko's horror / romance / drama Scarlet Fan got the most DO WANT! votes, that preview is up here. (Look for the rest after the jump.)

Scarlet Fan ~The Tale of Eternal Love~vol 1 (of 5+)
By Kumagai Kyoko

"I am ready to sacrifice my life for you..."

With Ryo who's willing to lay his life on the line for her, Miku investigates why ghosts attack her. But when she gets too close to the truth, Ryo is cursed by the spirit of Shirabyoshi.

What lies in Ryo and Miku's past that brings the pair to this point?

As with all Kumagai Kyoko's shoujo series to date, Ayakashi Hisen serialized—serializes—in Sho-Comi. Five tankou have been released in Japan as of 26 July 2012.

Other Kumagai Kyoko manga
Scarlet Fan ~The Tale of Eternal Love~ appears to be m&c!'s first Kumagai Kyoko manga (99% sure). But it's not the first Kumagai Kyoko title we've seen around these parts. 3L published the three-volume Hatsumei Princess (as Inventive Princess); the five-tank Houkago Orange or Orange After School; and two-volumers Ichigo Jikan, Sorairo Ageha (Sky Blue Ageha) and Stand Up!!!!.

Nube 29, Crazy Girl Shin Bia 15, Hai, Miiko! Cilik by Ono Eriko (m&c! manga and manhwa out nau~) [UPDATED]

Street date: 11 July 2012
Albeit this m&c! list isn't the NikBabble™ version, warning that I rate volume 1 of Hwang MiRee's You Are My Everything a 6 of 10, or C+, which translates to a Borrow first if you're that intrigued. :p
Update: ‘Upgraded’ to NikBabble™ version

Jigoku Sensei Nube © by Makura Shou, Okano Takeshi/Shueisha [First serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump]. Published in Indonesia as Guru Ahli Roh Nube by Gramedia/m&c!

Nube's Training Period!?

Yup, m&c! only has that surprised Nube Masa Latihan?! yelp as its Nube 29 blurb (taken from the Jigoku Sensei Nube volume 29 title Nube ~Shugyou Jidai!? no Maki).

To lessen the pain of a one-liner after a wait of one year and eight months, lemme add the titles of Nube chapters 248 to 256 from Wikipedia: The Trial Jar, Nube's Training Period!?, I Want To Call You ‘Big Brother’!, Hiroshi, Become Micro!?, Spirit Charmer • Yan Kailun, Oni no Te, Fury!!, Clash!! Oni no Te vs. Oni no Te!!, The Wielder of the Oni no Te and The Youkai Circus is Here!

New m&c! titles: a new Hai, Miiko!
The m&c! editor enthuses over the previously unpublished Hai Miiko! story in the latest Hai Miiko! Cilik, actually the Miiko Selection Wide Ichinensei! Miiko-chan published by Shogakukan under Ciao Comics Special in March 2012.

Dem packed with 30 full-color pages and the chance to see Miiko's first day in elementary school ought to compensate for the wait-till-dunno-when Hai, Miiko! volume 25.

A new Hwang MiRee manhwaYou Are My Everything—also premieres this street date, but you already know what I think of this debut (up ↑ there). So look for the preview after the jump (down ↓ there).

Bleach 47, The Breaker 8, Born to Cook 13 of 13 (m&c! manga and manhwa out nau~) [UPDATED]

Street date: 20 June 2012
Does anyone really care which Asari-chan m&c!'s Asari-chan is? Muroyama Mayumi's Tentoumushi Comics Short stories about Asari, a naughty, boyish, voracious, but also a very innocent girl was originally published by Elex way back when, but I doubt the m&c! iteration is either of the sequels Yorinuki Asari-chan or Tobikiri Tokusen Asari-chan. At any rate, even m&c!'s FB admin admits to knowing nothing beyond this is a new version, total volumes to be confirmed. But going by the m&c! cover—from Asari-chan volume 77—it could belong to the ongoing original, which means 19 volumes separate it from current Asari-chan volume 97. That's what I'm assuming, at least, until someone tells me otherwise.

At any rate (the second part), Bleach 47! (Also, NikBabble™ added)

Bleach, Vol. 47: End of the Chrysalis Age (m&c!)

Bleach, Vol. 47: End of the Chrysalis Age compiles chapters 405 through 413, Deicide 7~15.

New m&c! titles and other lowlights
Besides Asari-Chan, one more comic debuts — the Malaysian Lawak Warung Kopi by Little. Four manga and manhwa series finish this street date: Born to Cook by Terasawa Daisuke (with volume 13), I Love You Just As You Are by Kim EunHee (volume 3), My Girlfriend And Me by Park SunMin (volume 2) and Hwang MiRee's Say Say Say (volume 7) recurrent after half a year's absence. Previews after the release list.

Restocked: Here's your chance to GET! those Shiraishi Yuki titles you missed—Catwalk Romance (original title: Plastic Girl), which comes with this 5.75 of 10 [C] review rating caveat; Let Me Kiss You (Sono Kuchibiru Itadakimasu) that for its unmovable spot on the bedside table rates an 8/10♡ [A-]; My Perfect Private Teacher (Maruoka-san Chi no Kyouikugakari) rated 7/10 [B]; and Naughty Boyfriend (Akuma de Koibito) reviewed and rated 6/10.

Gamaran 6, X-Day 1 by Mizushiro Setona, Crazy Girl Shin Bia 14 (m&c! manga and manhwa out nau~)

Street date: 13 June 2012
RL has been totally fractious this week, so apologies for the delay in m&c! Shopping List × NikBabble™ >.<

Erementar Gerad vol 5 was reported postponed—that's confirmed by at least two sources (ECC and Angelzon)—but I'm keeping it here because it IS on m&c!'s official list, plus there's no confirmation yet that volume 5 release has indeed moved to the 4th of July (like, word has it, Flower of Queen 4).
Update: Erementar Gerad 5 moved to 4th July.

Since this is MY blog, and I lurve–lurve–lurve! Mu Young, leading with Crazy Girl Shin Bia 14 by Hwang MiRee (I've only been waiting—oh, an ice age—for a cover like this).

Crazy Girl Shin Bia 14 (m&c!)

Crazy Girl Shin Bia © Hwang MiRee/Samyang
Published in Indonesia by Gramedia/m&c!

Yoo Baek suffers the shock of his life in the Holy Land. Not only does the Crown Prince stumble on to his (ex-)fianceé Goddess Bia channeling Sleeping Beauty, he also gets a front row seat to the Prince Mu Young x Shin Bia main event, feat.   ...The Smooch.

You can't blame our beleaguered Yoo Baek for thinking something's wrong with his eyes. That there Crazy Girl Shin Bia is his bride to be! And she's liplocked with Yoo Baek's enemy!

k, now for the top DO WANT!

Gamaran vol 6 of (16+)
By Nakamaru Yosuke

Naoyoshi faces disqualification from future feudal lord contention. Only a few Daimyo wannabes remain — those yet undefeated and who have advanced to the next round of fighting. As Gama grapples with what to do next, help comes from an unexpected quarter. Gama's father Kurogane Jinsuke shows up, and “The Slayer” commands his disciple Ito Ranmaru to counsel Gama and allies in the coming clash against the “Four God Spears.”

Fifteen Gamaran volumes have been compiled in Japan as of April 2012. The 16th streets (streeted by the time I upload this post) on 15 June.

New m&c! titles
Previews after the release list.

New titlesm&c! launches two new shoujo series and a standalone: X-Day 1 by Mizushiro Setona, Runway Sweetheart 1 by Shibano Yuka and Tanaka Wataru and Pandora Restaurant by Sagara Riri. X-Day is prolly the most famous of the three because—as Baka-Updates Manga points out in its Author #199 entry—Mizushiro-sensei is well-known for her series X-Day in which she exhibits an outstanding ability to delve into psychological issues of every nature. And while Runway Sweetheart may not be as heavy going as the ex-Princess Suicide, Chat Rooms, Jealousy X-Day, it isn't as light as its title would suggest either. Shibano Yuka's Betsucomi manga, originally Runway no Koibito adapted from Tanaka Wataru's novel of the same name, not only features cut-throat competition in the modeling world, it also presents it from the Antagonist's POV. So, if you're looking for levity in your manga, your best bet is prolly Sagara Riri's Pandora Restaurant, which first serialized in Comic CYUTT, Media Factory's shoujo web magazine that explores themes of ‘Love’, ‘Healing’, ‘Drama’, ‘Dream’, and ‘Laughter’.

Oh! If you're looking to guffaw, you can also try out the new KOLONI local comic — Nan Nan's Daily Life from Ananda. (Don't blame me for almost forgetting; the last KOLONI title to come out, if my Telor Ceplok database is not #Fail, was Blade Bunny (Koloni Jagoan volume 5) back in November.) Nan Nan's Daily Life appears to be a comedy that giggles "shoujo."
