I Love You Suzuki kun 14 and Love Lesson.com by Yuuhi Ryu (3L shoujo manga out nau~)

Street date: This week, although Angelzon sez it has had both 3L shoujo manga since Monday, 23 April 2012.

Note: My 99.99% certainty that I Love You, Suzuki kun!! volume 15 was the finale volume—see my SDSK vol 12 post—might've been a tad premature. Baka-Updates Manga lists the status in country of origin as 15 Volumes (Ongoing). So...

I Love You Suzuki kun 14, Love Lesson.com (Tiga Lancar Comic/3L)

Suki desu, Suzuki-kun!! © Ikeyamada Go/Shogakukan [Serialized in Sho-Comi] · Love Lesson.com © Yuuhi Ryu/Shogakukan [First serialized in Sho-Comi Zoukan]. Published in Indonesia as I Love You, Suzuki kun!! and Love Lesson.com by PT Tiga Lancar Semesta/Tiga Lancar Comic (3L)

...Gugel's mechanical translate of ついに第2部完結!! Tsuini dai 2-bu kanketsu!! (Finally completed the second part!!) from the Japanese volume 14 preview likely only refers to the end of the second arc. (Now the volume 15 blurb reads: 最終章の幕が開く!!!! ... 中学生から描かれてきたこのお話もついに高校3年生編=最終章!! Sai shūshō no makugaaku!!!! ... Chūgakusei kara egaka rete kita kono ohanashi mo tsuini kōkō 3-nensei-hen = saishū Fumi! !) [From Amazon Japan and 7Net]

Still, adding + after my volume tally and waiting for someone to independently confirm what the above means.

At any rate, in I Love You, Suzuki kun!! volume 14 —

Shinobu and Hikaru showdown, start-OH! Who will win this grudge match? And what of Sayaka who leaves her shoot to watch the battle, and Chihiro who has been glued to it since the start?

Which Suzuki-kun sez, Aku takkan memaafkanmu kalau kamu tidak mencintaiku...100 kali lipat dari rasa sukaku padamu!! (I will not forgive you if you don't love me... 100 times more than I love you!) GET! volume 14 for The Answer, or alternatively, check out 3L's comic blog and download the ILYSK PDF. (Hint: This line comes from MY favorite Suzuki :D)

Per usual, I Love You, Suzuki kun!! is rated for    [DEWASA] or Mature audiences only. Same rating for the debuting Love Lesson.com by Yuuhi Ryu (Special Darling manga-ka), which I preview (and mini-review) after the two-point release list.

3L shoujo manga (2012.04.23)

  1. I Love You, Suzuki kun!! (Suki desu Suzuki-kun!!) vol 14 of 15+ by Ikeyamada Go
  2. Suki desu Suzuki-kun!!好きです鈴木くん!!」 by Ikeyamada Go
    AKA The Lovin' “S”
    Shogakukan Sho-Comi, shoujo
Volume 14 first published in Japan 2011.12

    Adaptations
The first anime OAD was bundled with Sho-Comi's first 2010 issue (released 2009.12; chapter 1 reenactment), the second with the Suki desu Suzuki-kun!! Official Fanbook (shipped 2010.07; chapters 15 and 16 re-enactment; fanbook released by 3L in January 2012). Seiyuu Asakura Azumi, Oda Hirofumi, Iwasaki Ryō and Isshiki Mayu voiced Hoshino Sayaka, Suzuki Hikaru, Suzuki Shinobu and Itō Chihiro respectively.

Two light novels written by Tokiumi Yui and illustrated by Ikeyamada Go have also been released. The first, Suki desu Suzuki-kun!! Pure White Love (2009.12.24), detailed Hikaru and Sayaka's relationship during the couple's last year of middle school. The second Suki desu Suzuki-kun!! With Precious Heart light novel (2010.07.26) is set before the high school arc/between manga volumes 7 and 8.

A Nintendo DS game—Suki desu Suzuki-kun!! ~Yo-nin no Suzuki-kun—released in 2010.07. Per the title, the game introduces two new Ikeyamada-sensei designed characters also surnamed Suzuki: Suzuki Michiru (voiced by Hoshi Sōichirō) and Suzuki Hiroto (Nakamura Yūichi). Game versions of Sayaka, Hikaru, Shinobu and Chihiro were voiced by Takita Juri, Miyata Kōki, Kondou Takashi and Taketatsu Ayana. A limited edition of the Idea Factory game came with a drama CD featuring a story about the four main characters.

Bleach 45, Namida Usagi ~Tears of First Love~ 7, Love Button 6 (m&c! manga out nau~) [UPDATED]

Street date: 2012.04.25
I would really lurve to go NikBabble™ mode, ON! on this (Sora!), so, let's see if RL cooperates. «Update: Because Lina-chan sez she misses NikBabble™ (Sankyuuu, Lina-chaaaan~)

Namida Usagi ~Tears of First Love~ 7 (m&c!)

Namida Usagi ~Seifuku no Kataomoi~ © Minase Ai/Shogakukan
[First serialized in Sho-Comi]
Published in Indonesia as Namida Usagi ~Tears of First Love~ by Gramedia/m&c!

"I don't know what Sora looks like nor his voice, and in a world this large, it would be next to impossible to ever meet him face to face. Little did I know he would appear right before my eyes..."

When she meets Kuon again at her part-time work, Momoka expects him to make fun of her like he usually does, but Teh Tsundere jerk-and-a-half Kuon subverts her expectations and actually acts *nice*. Momoka and Kuon become...if not quite buddies, then friendly acquaintances, much to boyfriend Narumi's chagrin. Not long after they grow close, Kuon makes a shocking confession: "I am Sora."

Namida Usagi ~Tears of First Love~ 7 compiles Stories 36 through 41, the last of which dropped my grade for this NamiUsa tank from 8 to 7.75 of 10 or B+. (Had it gotten that 8, it would have leveled up to A-. I couldn't see my way to giving it that grade, however, what with the story swerving from a Kuon–Usami–Narumi rabu triangle to an Usami–Narumi–Girl x cliffie.)

Nine Namida Usagi ~Seifuku no Kataomoi~ tankou have been released in Japan as of February 2012; the 10th (and last (完) ("End"), according to Amazon Japan) streets in Japan on 25 May 2012.

Now for the top manga DO WANT! —

Bleach vol 45 of 54+
By Kubo Tite

Ichigo returns to fake Karakura-chou where the combined Gotei 13 and Visored might fail to dispatch Aizen, whose powers are far greater than anyone had estimated. Aizen single-handedly defeats his opponents, including Ichigo, forcing commander Yamamoto himself to intervene.

Which explains why Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni, whom manga-ka Kubo Tite described as Imperturbable and like an unmovable pivot in the Bleach Official Character Book of Souls, page 200, is the cover boy of Bleach vol 45: The Burnout Inferno.

This Bleach volume compiles chapters 387 to 395: Ignited,Eagle Without Wings 2 (EXTREME BATTLEMASTER MIX),Winged Eagles 2,BEYOND THE DEATH UNDERSTANDING,The Blazing Glaciers,The Breaking Glaciers,The Burnout Inferno,The Burnout Inferno 2 and The Burnout Inferno 3. [*NOT m&c!'s chapter titles]

The latest Bleach tankou chapter is 479, Goodbye to Our Xcution, bound in volume 54 of the same name, released in Japan 2 March 2012.

New m&c! titles
m&c! launches two shoujo manga—Flow of Love (Suiren) by Nanao Mio and My Beloved Tailor (Dekiai Oresama Tailor) by Yagami Rina—and premieres a new manhua martial arts series, City of Darkness by Andy Seto - Yu Er. I delve into some detail on the two shoujo standalones (one ex-Cheese!, the second from Sho-Comi) after the release list, but grant City of Darkness the snap synops up here: Despite winning battles left and right, Chen Luojun loses everything and is now hunted down by the Triad. What happened to plunge the fighting champ into this nightmare?

Mangazines: Cherry April 2012 edition
First off, Cherry April 2012 edition ups its price to IDR 30,000 from the previous IDR 27,500. It premieres Key of Love by Notoyama Keiko (originally Koi x Kagi or 恋×カギ ex-Ciao) and ends (it indicates Final Episode, but closes with Bersambung) I am not a Maid! by Iwaoka Meme. Deets after the release list.

Bloody Monday 9, Devil Devil 10, Birdy The Mighty 1 by Yuuki Masami (Level Comics manga out nau~) [UPDATED]

Street date: 2012.04.25
As I sed over on the Elex side, no guarantees of NikBabble™ this week. But you can live with just a shopping list, cantcha? «Update: You might be able to, but I apparently can't >.<

Birdy The Mighty 1 (Level Comics)

Tetsuwan Birdy © Yuuki Masami/Shogakukan
[First serialized in Young Sunday and Big Comic Spirits]
Published in Indonesia as Birdy The Mighty by Level Comics

Berserker Killer Birdy Cephon Altera is dispatched to Earth to stop intergalactic terrorist Christella Revi, but the dreaded agent of the federation mortally wounds a Japanese teenager during the attempted arrest. To save Senkawa Tsutomu's life, Birdy lends him her body, after which she insists on pursuing her target. Tsutomu refuses to cooperate for fear of endangering his family.

Still, their (un)cooperative fight against evil geniuses, start-OH!

This Birdy The Mighty reboots Yuuki Masami's first Tetsuwan Birdy, hence sometimes the qualification Tetsuwan Birdy (II). Wiki relates the back story »here—I don't feel like regurgitating—so just read for yourself if interested. At any rate, what's important is that Tetsuwan Birdy finally reached 20 volumes (around additional shunting from Young Sunday to Big Comic Spirits when the former closed up shop in July 2008), AND that there's an ongoing sequel, Tetsuwan Birdy Evolution (10 volumes as of 2011.12; volume 11 street date: 2012.04.27). In other words, you're in for a long ride.

Oh. And There Was Anime. First, a four-episode OAV animated by Madhouse released in July 1996. Seiyuu Mitsuishi Kotono voiced Birdy, Iwanaga Tetsuya – Tsutomu. A decade and two years later, A-1 Pictures came out with Tetsuwan Birdy: Decode. The 13-episode first season aired from July to September 2008, and featured a different voice cast: Chiba Saeko as Birdy and Irino Miyu as Tsutomu. Season 2 premiered in January 2009 and wrapped at 12 episodes May that year. Another OAV (one episode), Birdy the Mighty Decode: The Cipher, followed in July 2009.

Not to underestimate Birdy's allure or anything, but Yuuki Masami-sensei is prolly most known for the 36th Shogakukan Manga Awardee in the Shounen category, Kidou Keisatsu Patlabor AKA Mobile Police Patlabor (22 volumes compiled between July 1988 and August 1994).

Now for the top Level GET!

Bloody Monday vol 9 of 11
By Ryumon Ryou & Megumi Kouji

The BLOODY-X outbreak in Kanto Special Prison turns out to be Fujimaru's ruse. After allowing the terrorists to set leader Kamishima Shimon free, Fujimaru bargains with J for the antidote to save Mako. J agrees, in exchange for information on the real significance of BLOODY MONDAY.

I know we're still on Bloody Monday, but I thought you might like to know that volume 4 of Bloody Monday - Last Season (yes, that's the sequel of the sequel) is expected to release in Japan on 17 May.
