Capping our quickie coverage of Anime Festival Asia Indonesia 2012...

The second day of AFAID was no less crowded than the first day, but at least there were moar cosplayers evident. :)

baka-girl and I missed the 1030am Akatsuki Tsukasa Talkshow (she's a famous cosplayer from Taiwan) and the Animax Asia screening of Eureka 7 AO feat. STEREOPONY at the main stage, so recapping from AFAID's Featured Anime page:

The sequel to the anime Eureka Seven, Eureka Seven AO takes place several years after the events of the first season and follows the adventures of Ao.

AFA Indonesia will be showcasing this series as one of its featured anime and will be screening two episodes of the anime series at the AFA Main Stage.

We were there, however, for the screening and talk show of the next same-time-as-Japan Animax anime, (the Ungugelable) K:

One of Go Nakanishi's latest works, K will be aired soon and features an all-star line-up of voice actors and actresses.

One interesting factoid about this anime has been the unique approach that has been used to promote the anime. All promotion on the anime so far has only been done through promotional videos that have yet to touch on the actual premise of the show. Despite all this, the show has proven to be quite popular with many anime fans!

AFA - Anime Festival Asia Indonesia opens today, 1 September 2012

Niki and TC resident artist @baka-girl desu! Just outside Jakarta International Expo for the first day of the Anime Festival Asia in Indonesia. Tweeps, those already on the ground queueing for tickets, say the lines are l—o—n—g...

We're at AFAID!

...which we confirmed for ourselves. (We started lining up where the sign sed Timur 18, I think.)

Anyway, we're looking forward to the first event - KANAME☆ cosplay and later tonight, the I Love Anisong concerts — in which AKINO with bless4 and LiSA are skedded to perform.
