Gamaran 7, Cappuccino Love Potion and Love in Cafe Cappuccino 1 by Kotokawa Aya (m&c! 31 August 2012 manga) [UPDATED]

No relation between the two Cappuccino manga far as I can tell, beyond having the same creator.
Added ongoing series previews

Cappuccino Love Potion (m&c!) Love in Cafe Cappuccino 1 (m&c!)

Akita Shoten [First serialized in Petit Princess]
Published in Indonesia as Cappuccino Love Potion and Love in Cafe Cappuccino 1 by Gramedia/m&c!

m&c! launches three new Petit Princess manga—three, if we count Yoshida Ikaru's Samurai Darling Masamune, reportedly pushed back from its 11 August premiere—two of them from the same manga-ka Kotokawa Aya. Both office romances. The first is the one-volume,    mature audiences only Cappuccino Love Potion and the second, the eight volumes, ongoing Love in Cafe Cappuccino.

The Cappuccino Love Potion Dewasa read first:

Her mother's illness forces Michika to take over as manager of Narumiya Izumi, an actor acclaimed for his antagonist roles in violent films. Nervous beyond belief, Michika wishes she had gotten popular, pretty boy actor Kijima Reiji to babysit instead. But do the two actors live up to their stereotypes? Or is Michika confusing fiction with reality?

Hmm. The Manager × Actor premise reminds me of Yoshihara Yuki's Chocolate Girl, tempting me...much. I don't know if the bishie on the left-hand side cover [above] is supposed to be the infamous Narumiya Izumi, but those megane! make me wish he were, and that he's as “charming” as Chocolate Girl's Tsundere, Actually Tezuka Riku. (I also hope nabs-all-the-Good-Guy-roles Kijima Reiji is as comely and as conniving as Choco Girl's Akae Kaoru.)

Cappuccino Love Potion, originally Biyaku iri no Cappuccino, first ran in the shoujo-josei straddler PetitPuri, but for reasons yet to be uncovered, m&c! upped its age rating to D - Dewasa, or for an over 18 audience.

That takes care of the first Kotokawa Aya debut. Now for the second—

Love in Cafe Cappuccino vol 1 (of 8+)
By Kotokawa Aya

Legend has it that if you visit a certain café in Minami Aoyama Kottou street, you will meet your soul mate. What does this urban myth have to do with Yoshida and her boss Shioya? Well, the director orders Yoshida to upgrade the notorious genius chief into a New and Improved version, but Yoshida falls for pre-makeover Shioya, messy hair, rudeness and all.

Obviously, Yoshida took Shioya or met him at that café in Minami Aoyama, which stands silent, if not quietly laughing, over another mission (about to be) accomplished.

Love in Cafe Cappuccino or Cafe Minamiaoyama Curio Street serializes in the same mangazine Cappuccino Love Potion did. Akita Shoten published the first tank in August 2008, the latest (eighth) in March 2012. Love in Cafe Cappuccino volume 1, however, is rated R - Remaja, or Teens.

Pretty sure Cappuccino Love Potion and Love in Cafe Cappuccino represent the first Kotokawa Aya manga incursion into Indonesia. Besides the caffeinated vanguards, Kotokawa Aya-sensei produced the genie-troped shoujo fantasy Lample for Shinshokan's Wings (tankou released October 2002). [Read more...]

S/he also introduced a Dark!Cinderella in Covered in Cinders, one of the shorts in the Sekaiichi Zankoku de Utsukushii Grimm Douwa (The Cruelest and Most Beautiful Grimm's Fairy Tales in the World) omnibus published by Houmusha in May 2002, and is first credited for Toshinosaren'ai and Karada no Renai, both Akita Shoten Princess Comics Petit Princess anthos released September and October 2010 respectively.

Kotokawa Aya also collaborated with Shusa in the shoujo Uranai Gakuen Star Dice, first serialized in Kadokawa's Asuka (seven volumes compiled between 1995.07 and 1998.03).

Also this m&c! release...
One more new Akita Shoten manga, but this one originally ran in Mystery BonitaKIELI ~The Deceased Asleep in the Wasteland~—Teshirogi Shiori's adapt of Kabei Yukako's award-winning Ki-Ri ~Shishatachi wa Kouya ni Nemuru~ light novel. Volume 1 of the manga premieres this street date, too, as does the first volume of Han YuRang's soonjung manhwa Bitter Sweet Love. Previews after the jump.

Mangazines: Debuting in the August 2012 edition of Cherry are Natsumeki!! by Nanajima Kana and You are Like a Flower by Goto Misaki. Both Natsumeki!! and Kimi wa Maru de, Ano Hana no You de are ex-Sho-Comi, as is the cover manga, Kaname Étoile by Kayoru. [Continued...]

How To Be His No.1 vol 1 by Odawara Mizue (3L shoujo manga out nau~)

Street date: 4 July 2012

How To Be His No.1 Vol.1 (Tiga Lancar Comic/3L)

Kare no 1-Ban ni Naru Houhou © Odawara Mizue
Akita Shoten [Princess Comics Petit Princess]
Published in Indonesia as How To Be His No.1
by PT Tiga Lancar Semesta/Tiga Lancar Comic (3L)

A sudden school transfer, and as expected, there's this one guy in my new school who is extremely popular with the female camp. I didn't like him at first, but now I find I can't resist him. Even though I'm different from his fangirls, I want to win Miya's love...

Can I do it?

How To Be His No.1 or Kare no 1-Ban ni Naru Houhou only spans two volumes. It originally ran in Akita Shoten's Petit Princess. 3L rates this shoujo manga series Teen ("Remaja")-friendly.

How To Be His No.1 appears to be 3L's first Odawara Mizue title. Her/his other shoujo manga, also published under the Princess Comics Petit Princess imprint, include the workplace romance Toshiue no Hito (three volumes compiled between December 2006 and October 2007) and its sequels Toshiue no Hito - Once More (JP release: 2009.02.16) and Toshiue no Hito - Love Life (2011.09.16). Odawara Mizue-sensei also produced two one-volumers Honey Honey (2009.10.16) and Nude wa Koi o Matou (2010.04.16).

S/he headlined the Hatsukoi Datta Petit Princess omnibus published by Akita Shoten in January 2008. (Other contributors to this antho: Moka Keiko, Ayase Kaori and Tachibana Asuka.)

First Experience of Popular Guy by Mori Chisa (3L shoujo manga out nau~)

I've never felt comfortable with girls, and that's from cradle. This is the first time I'm dating the girl I really, really like...!

This confession from the so-called Lady-killer in AKA Lady-killer's Initial Experience??

Mori Chisa's one-volume shoujo manga First Experience of Popular Guy or in Japanese, Motekei Danshi no Shotaiken, is—according to Baka-Updates Manga who identifies our titular Popular Guy Yuta and his dream girl Komari—the sequel to the earlier Motekei Danshi no Kataomoi or Lady-killer's Unrequited Love (compiled December 2008 vs. May 2009 for First Experience of Popular Guy). Seems 3L is again preempting the predecessor (looking at you, Doctor's Love and Couple who Love Buttocks). Well, whatever. Despite the “promise” of the title, First Experience of Popular Guy stays firmly in Teen- or Remaja-friendly territory.

First Experience of Popular Guy appears to be 3L's first Mori Chisa title. [Continued...]

My Youth with You 7 and Sanevurin Witch 1 by Soya Yuka (3L shoujo manga out nau~)

Street date: 30 May 2012

My Youth with You 7, Sanevurin Witch 1 (Tiga Lancar Comic/3L)

Only one more tankou and I can close my personal My Youth with You chapter.

Keita decides not to move abroad with his parents, which of course gladdens Miu. But her joy over spending days with her boyfriend doesn't last long, what with the Big What are you planning after graduation? question pressing for answers. Depressed because she can't keep up with Keita and her friends, Miu finds salvation with...transfer student Serizawa?!

We're already at volume 7 of 8 and Fujisawa Shizuki-sensei throws this at us? Whoo, boy. Methinks I'll wait till 3L releases the finale and marathon the thing to head off any teeth-gritting frustration over possible evil cliffies.

I'm more optimistic about the debuting Sanevurin Witch, especially after seeing the droolicious cover of volume 2—oops, getting ahead of myself. Preview first:

Sanevurin Witch vol 1 of 2
By Soya Yuka

“Whomsoever finds the wings will receive the protection of Sanevurin...”

To take the witch test, Monika exchanges the safety of home for the uncertainty of the outside world. Studying is her priority, as is dropping her wings — and hoping that whoever finds them is hawt. Unfortunately for Monika, she meets...an obnoxious old(er) guy!?

Sanevurin Witch only spans two volumes. It first serialized in Akita Shoten's Princess. Soya Yuka-sensei also created these shoujo manga, either for Princess or Princess Gold: Ozu to Saigo no Majo AKA Oz and the Last Witch (one volume published 2010.11), Rakuen no Blend (2006.10) and Toppen Kamuden e Youkoso (seven volumes compiled between 2000.08 and 2003.09).

B Class Boy's Love by Honda Natsumi and When Local Boys Fall In Love by Sazanami Raika (3L 23 May 2012 shoujo manga) [UPDATED]

Even the 3L release sked falls victim to NikBabble™ postponed... But don't fret. You know I stalk Honda Natsumi-sensei, doncha? :D
Also, the reprint run of Ikeyamada Go's Moe Kare!! proceeds with today's volume 3 redux.
Edit: NikBabble™ version

B Class Boy's Love, When Local Boys Fall In Love (Tiga Lancar Comic/3L)

B-kyuu Danshi Gourmet © Honda Natsumi/Shogakukan [First serialized in Cheese!] · Koi o Suru nara Gotouchi Danshi! © Sazanami Raika/Akita Shoten [First serialized in Petit Princess]. Published in Indonesia as B Class Boy's Love and When Local Boys Fall In Love by PT Tiga Lancar Semesta/Tiga Lancar Comic (3L)

3L launches a pair of shoujo mangaB Class Boy's Love, Honda Natsumi's B-kyuu Danshi Gourmet released by Shogakukan's Cheese! Flower Comics in January 2011, and When Local Boys Fall In Love by new-to-3L's-lineup Sazanami Raika, originally Koi o Suru nara Gotouchi Danshi! published under Akita Shoten's Princess Comics Petit Princess label in August 2011. 3L sez both are Teen-friendly.

The B Class Boy's Love back cover cheekily asks: "Would you find these boys ‘somewhat lacking’ attractive?" (Apa kau tertarik pada anak laki-laki dengan penuh ‘kekurangan’ seperti mereka?) Well, whatever deficiency the three bishies on the cover suffer from, it certainly isn't lack of comeliness :)

B Class Boy's Love compiles three oneshots or Cases (the Japanese blurb). One of the Cases apparently involves Hikaru who's about to confess to one of the bishies — and she's already got 10 strikes against her. Will Bishie X make it an 11? [Adapted from Chibi Manga's B-kyuu Danshi Gourmet description excerpted by Baka-Updates Manga]

I've talked about the Honda Natsumi manga 3L published before the sumptuously-covered B-kyuu Danshi Gourmet (»here and »here); for nau—dragging in When Local Boys Fall In Love—lemme intro the other antho that features four romances with boys from four different prefectures:

I was born and raised in a small town. Just when I think that my days will remain the same, suddenly...!?

Obviously, our yet unidentified When Local Boys Fall In Love heroine meets someone who will have a ‘devastating’ impact on her life. [Continued...]
