Charged by Masamori to guard the temple adjoining the divine land, Yoshimori is sucked into another dimension where he discovers the identity of the youkai his brother has been pursuing. It's none other than Mudou, formerly the Council of Twelve head who has rejected his humanity to obtain preternatural strength. Clueless Yoshimori challenges Mudou to a fight, but is hopelessly overpowered. Mudou then taunts the kekkaishi with a proposal that just might destroy Yoshimori's already fraying relationship with Masamori—also trapped in the magical realm—for good!
As the brothers face almost certain death, the deity Tan-yu marshals his last bit of strength to seal off his holy site and save their lives. The holy site is sealed off, but Masamori is stranded inside the site alone with Mudo...

If you can't wait for Elex to release Kekkaishi 18, may I suggest that you beg, borrow (no, not steal) back issues of Shonen Star? Tanabe Yellow's shounen manga award winner actually serializes first in the fortnightly Indonesian Shonen Sunday mangazine, and the newest ShoStar—Issue 12—releases the same day as Kekkaishi 17.

If you missed these... Reissues
Elex continues to introduce a new generation to classic shoujo. This week, you get to try out After School by Mimura Akino and Look! Love in the Sky by Akabane Michie, both Serial Cantik or standalone shoujo releases.
And speaking of reissues, Elex also restocks Doraemon: volumes 1–10, 11–20, 21–30 and 31–40 at IDR 170,000 per 10-volume set. If you're looking for the last five Doraemon volumes though, don't fret. You can still fall back on the right-to-left reboots. (Although those last volumes won't come out till...I dunno when; we're only up to volume 16.)
