Chika Sasagami, 15 tahun, murid SMA yang bercita-cita menjadi komikus profesional. Sayang,orang tua dan tiga kakaknya tidak ada yang mendukung cita-citanya. Chika pun nekat kabur dari rumah dan tinggal bersama Haruka, kakak perempuannya yang juga pemberontak dalam keluarga Sasagami. Haruka yang sangat memahami keinginan Chika, menitipkan gadis polos tersebut sebagai asisten sekaligus murid pada Ryo Momose, komikus shoujo yang sedang naik daun. Masalahnya, pengalaman Chika sebagai asisten adalah nol ε(•̯͡_•̯͡ )з Sekalipun demikian, Ryo menyadari Chika memiliki insting yang bagus. Secara autodidak, Chika tahu, jenis tone mana yang harus ditempel di naskah komik. Sejak saat itu dimulailah hari-hari Chika sebagai murid dan asisten bagi Ryo.
