Shohoku's first opponent is the daunting Miuradai team. Sakuragi lands a shot at a free throw, but nerves don't allow him to shoot — until the clock runs out. There would've gone the chance to up Shohoku's score, but for Rukawa who comes through and allows Shohoku to advance to the next round.
