Sorairo Square © Sou/Houbunsha
[First serialized in Manga Time Kirara Forward]
Published in Indonesia as Sky Blue Square by Elex Media
Two childhood friends color the life of Souichiro, a small-town boy with a passion for photography. On one hand, there's Miyuki, a quiet girl who suffers from amnesia, and on the other, Fumika, a big city starlet who returns to the quiet seaside town where nothing ever changes. Or so it seems.
Their relationship seems like more than just friends but less than lovers,
describes Fairgame (Sorairo Square synops excerpted by Baka-Updates Manga) but after Fumika comes back from Tokyo, their feelings overlap and their childhood times slowly begin to move.
The love triangle slice of life Sorairo Square or Sky Blue Square first serialized in Houbunsha's seinen (moe) Manga Time Kirara Forward mangazine; Elex, however, slots Sky Blue Square squarely :P in the shounen category. Four volumes were published in Japan from August 2009 to February 2011. Bamboo Editions published the thing in French under the title Un carré de ciel bleu—that edition's first volume blurb also contributed to my synopsis—but both the Un carré de ciel bleu, Tome 1 preview and Fairgame's description identify the hero as Shuuichi.
I kept Elex's Souichiro.
As for Sky Blue Square's manga-ka, most of the works attributed to Sou-sensei are doujinshi, but his/her manga creds (in addition to debut series Sorairo Square) include Hana Yamata (one volume released in Japan as of December 2011, ongoing serialization in Manga Time Kirara Forward).
S/he also illustrates Understand Psychosomatic Medicine Through Manga
Manga de Wakaru Shinryou Naika written by Yuuki Yuu and serialized in Shonen Gahosha's Young King (volume 6 street date: 2012.6.25), the gag manga Otona no 1 Page Shinrigaku likewise written by Yuuki Yuu-sensei and serialized in Gekkan Young King (volume 4 released 19 April 2012) and (one of the) the manga adaptations of the popular PC visual novel ToHeart2—To Heart 2 - Another Days—written by Leaf and serialized in ASCII Media Works' Dengeki G's Festival! Comic (two of two volumes published between February 2010 and April 2011).
Sou-sensei also contributed to the K-ON! Anthology Comic, interpretations of Kakifly's K-ON! 4koma by various other mangaka
(five compiles as of September 2011).
I'll get to the other Elex debut Illusionary Boy—Banjo Daichi's telepathic detective Genei Shounen—in a bit. Top DO WANT! first.
