I missed posting this Hella-Long-NikBabble™ on the day, so the comments are open (not that they aren't always) to whomever wants to share their impreshuns and ratings of the above shoujo titles, as well as the other m&c! newbies.
Update: Reverted Goong's total volume count back to 27, the last volume, as confirmed by m&c!. (Which makes me wonder exactly where this 궁 28—Goong 28—fits.)

Yes, yes, Most Wanted Manga remains Shiumi Saki's Midnight Lolita (Mayonaka♡Lolita ex-Sho-Comi Zoukan), but as m&c! is on a Nanao Mio roll—her Your Eyes Speak to Me streets next week—letting you feast on this week's Nanao Mio eyecandy. (As TC manga critic Lina-chan vouches, hawt bishies are hawt.) At any rate, Midnight Lolita's (Fake) Loli-cious cover isn't one of Shiumi Saki's best IMO (albeit that feint didn't stop me from giving it an 8 of 10♡...wait. Getting ahead of myself. Nanao Mio's The Reason for Falling In Love first:

Shameless kohai! But my heart pounds whenever I'm alone with you. And you press your advantage and kiss me?! That was my first kiss!

I can't stand you, but why do I find myself falling for you!?

I gave the above-blurbed antho christener a 7 of 10 or B, but The Reason for Falling In Love also collects one-shots Umbrella Girl (also a 7/10), Sugar and Bitter Chocolate (7.25, still a B), the Christmas-troped I'll Tell You in The Holy Night (the top-notcher of the bunch, netting a grade of B+ or 7.75/10) and the cracktastic Story in the Backstage that carries this manga-ka warning: This story will destroy your image of the characters in the original story! (Rated a "Hancur! LMAO!" 7.25 of 10.)

Stupid Love

He's totally not my type! He's evil! Sadly, he's also my brother's best friend... And when he takes off his glasses, I can't help but be captivated. His gaze penetrates my very soul...

Three-act Stupid Love gets a B- or 6.5 of 10 from me, but I'm sure someone else *looks in Lina-chan's direction* gave it a much higher grade. Stupid Love IS compellingly readable but [SPOILER!!!] the emotional cliffie on which it hangs precludes a higher commendation. Yes, despite me being the Glasses! fangirl that I am. (I differ from our heroine Nozomi-chan in that regard.)

Stupid Love also contains the Love Sick one-shot featuring a siscon—and he's not even her blood sib!—which scores higher at 6.75/10 (still in B- territory, however). Capping the volume is the two-paged Brothers Club—every male chara here is someone's older brother—which I awarded a 6.5.

Both The Reason for Falling in Love and Stupid Love are Cheese! (if not Cheese! Zoukan) serials, if we go by the Cheese! FC on the Kanojo ga Kare ni Ochiru Wakeand Oroka Mono no Koi covers. Cheese!, featuring manga that prioritize mature relationships (read: smut), is also home to Aoki Kotomi's Kanojo wa Uso wo Aishisugiteru, streeting this week as Love Lies. KanoUso's provenance more than accounts for why this title is rated for   Mature or Dewasa audiences... And again I'm jumping the gun. I should be babbling about—

Other Nanao Mio manga
m&c! introduced us to Nanao Mio-sensei with the Awww, he likes her... Kiss & Regret, dethroned from second place (I gave it a 7.5 of 10 or B+) by the TRFFIL I'll Tell You in the Holy Night one-shot. Kiss to Koukai serialized in Cheese! Zoukan and is apparently Nanao Mio's debut tank.

Before The Reason for Falling in Love and Stupid Love, m&c! released Flow of Love or Suiren, my highest-scoring Nanao Mio title. I gave the "Do you need artificial respiration?" Flow of Love an 8 of 10♡ (A-), the same grade Lina-chan did.

And as preempted earlier, m&c! releases (this coming Wednesday, 1 August) Your Eyes Speak to Me or Sono Me, Kuchi hodo ni. (Cheese! FC: 2011.08).

Nanao Mio-sensei's latest serial is the Mangaka × Editor office romance Pen Saki ni Syrup, currently running in Cheese! (one volume as of May 2012). This Childhood Friends, Male Lead Falling in Love First, Possessive Lover volume contains the title story and its Bangai-hen and Tokubetsu-hen, as well as a side story Give Me a Sweet Kiss. [*NOT 3L titles]

Before releasing You Are Completely Mine, 3L published KAORI's Touch by Your Kiss or Kimi no Kiss de Furete. I already listed KAORI-sensei's backlist when Kimi no Kiss de Furete debuted here, and have nothing to add other than noting that the Basketball, Maids, Secret Identity, Tomboy, Rivals Become Lovers, Male Lead Falling in Love First Himitsu no Ai-chan romance comedy, ongoing serialization in Cheese! will have released its volume 8 by 26 July 2012, and that KAORI-sensei top-billed the Cheese! Before publishing Maid in Love or Tsukushite Agemasu, Elex introed Touma Rei-sensei through her collab with TAKUYA-sensei, the game-based Hoshiiro no Okurimono released here as Star Color Present. But she is prolly most famous for the droolicious Reimei no Arcana, also serialized in Cheese!. (Nine Reimei no Arcana tankou have been compiled in Japan as of January this year; JP volume 10 streets next week, on 26 June. Level publishes the popular series as Dawn of the Arcana; latest volume 6 released mid-April.)

Adaptations
At least three Glass no Kamen anime adaptations have been produced: The first by Eiken, spanning 23 episodes, aired between April and September 1984 on Japan's NTV. Seiyuu Katsuki Masako voiced Kitajima Maya, Matsushima Minori as Maya's rival Himekawa Ayumi, Nakanishi Taeko as Maya's mentor Tsukikage Chigusa and Nozawa Nachi as businessman Hayami Masumi.

TMS Entertainment produced the next anime, a three-episode OAV Garasu no Kamen: Sen no Kamen wo Motsu Shōjo (Glass Mask: The Girl Who Wears A Thousand Masks), released December 1998. The OAV retelling of the first three manga arcs featured a different voice cast: Ogata Megumi (Maya), Matsui Naoko (Ayumi), Toda Keiko (Tsukikage) and Kosugi Juurouta (Hayami).

TMS remade the series in 2005, this time casting Kobayashi Sanae, Yajima Akiko, Fujita Toshiko and Morikawa Toshiyuki as Maya, Ayumi, Tsukikage and Hayami, with the 1984 anime Maya returning as Ayumi's mother, Himekawa Utako. Fifty-one episodes aired between April 2005 and March 2006 on TV Tokyo.

The live-action version adapting the first 38 manga volumes ran for two seasons on TV Asahi (Season 1: July to September 1997, 11 episodes; Season 2: April to June 1998, 12 episodes), with the Season 1 episode 12 airing on 30 September 1999 (the Special Ending). The TV drama Seasons 1-2 cast comprised Adachi Yumi as Maya, Matsumoto Megumi as Ayumi, Nogiwa Yoko as Tsukikage and Tanabe Seiichi as Hayami. All reprised their roles for the Special Ending except Ayumi's actor (replaced by Nakamura Aimi).

After hyping 'em since the first quarter of this year, 3L concludes Yokoyama Mayumi's Galism ~ 3 Sisters first-class Love ~ and Ohta Saki's You are Mine with this week's release of volume 6 and 2 respectively.

Silly couple Yuudai and Ran still can't advance to the next stage of intimacy though not for want of trying. It's just something always b*tts in...at just the right moment. This time, amorous interruptus comes courtesy of Yuudai's mom who stops paying Yuudai's rent, forcing the poor guy to freeload at the Ugajin residence (he stays in the garage). But even makeshift quarters are not about to stop our baka couple from trying to Do It!

3L launches a pair of shoujo manga — B Class Boy's Love, Honda Natsumi's B-kyuu Danshi Gourmet released by Shogakukan's Cheese! Flower Comics in January 2011, and When Local Boys Fall In Love by new-to-3L's-lineup Sazanami Raika, originally Koi o Suru nara Gotouchi Danshi! published under Akita Shoten's Princess Comics Petit Princess label in August 2011. 3L sez both are Teen-friendly.

The B Class Boy's Love back cover cheekily asks: "Would you find these boys ‘somewhat lacking’ attractive?" (Apa kau tertarik pada anak laki-laki dengan penuh ‘kekurangan’ seperti mereka?) Well, whatever deficiency the three bishies on the cover suffer from, it certainly isn't lack of comeliness :)

B Class Boy's Love compiles three oneshots or Cases (the Japanese blurb). One of the Cases apparently involves Hikaru who's about to confess to one of the bishies — and she's already got 10 strikes against her. Will Bishie X make it an 11? Changing Seat Game by Yumachi Shin and Touch by Your Kiss 2 of 2 (3L 10 April 2012 shoujo manga)

I don't know how many of you have been waiting for the Touch By Your Kiss finale, but personally, I'm more intrigued by the 3L debut Changing Seat Game, not only for the Namida Usagi vibes (if you squint), but more for the...innocence of the cover, something I don't expect from (mostly sm*t) manga-ka Yumachi Shin.

Freshman year, high school. September. The seat change after summer lands me smack beside Mitsui, the guy who, rumor has it, likes me. Me? Slow me? It's just not possible!

So that's our Clumsy Protagonist with Low Self-Esteem Tamami agonizing over whether Mitsui-kun needs glasses likes her. (Thanks, Baka-Updates, for giving our heroine a name.) But Tamami really should ditch her issues, especially when we have it on good authority that Cool Male Lead Mitsui-kun falls in love first.

Gotten sugar shock yet? :) Changing Seat Game, originally Sekigae Game ex-Cheese!, is (still) safe for Teens, just like the other two Yumachi Shin shoujo manga 3L has published (which I passed up on), Colour of Love and Love at First Sight.
